OUR JOURNEY

2026

Invest BW Funding

Prime Vector Technologies secured funding through the Invest BW Innovation IV program for the MucoShield project. Together with the NMI and Fraunhofer IGB, the company is developing an innovative intranasal ORFV-based vaccine candidate against human metapneumovirus (HMPV), advancing its platform technology toward clinical translation.

Phase I/IIa Clinical Trial Started

Following the successful first-in-human study, the Phase I/IIa clinical trial of Prime-2-CoV was initiated in collaboration with the Institute of Tropical Medicine at the University Hospital Tübingen. The study marks the next step in the clinical development of PRIME's proprietary ORFV platform technology

2025

Long-Term Stability Confirmed

Stability studies confirmed that GMP-manufactured PRIME-2-CoV remained stable for more than two years, demonstrating the robustness of the manufacturing process and supporting long-term storage.

2024

KMUi Funding

The Uni-FLU-Vacc project was launched by Prime Vector Technologies and the University Hospital Tübingen to develop a novel ORFV-based universal influenza vaccine candidate. The project is supported by more than €2.7 million in funding from the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space.

2023

100 Participants Vaccinated

More than 100 participants were vaccinated with Prime-2-CoV during the Phase I clinical trial, providing valuable clinical data to support the continued development of the vaccine candidate.

2022

First Patient in

A major milestone was achieved with the initiation of the Phase I clinical trial of Prime-2-CoV, our multivalent COVID-19 vaccine candidate based on our proprietary ORFV platform technology. The trial was conducted at multiple sites across Europe and the United States in collaboration with the Institute of Tropical Medicine at the University Hospital Tübingen and Speransa Therapeutics.

2021

HTGF Financing

Prime Vector Technologies secured seed financing led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF). The investment accelerated technology development and supported the company's growth.

Strategic Collaboration with Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica

A strategic collaboration, option and licence agreement was established with Boehringer Ingelheim to develop and evaluate vaccine candidates against a range of veterinary diseases using PRIME's proprietary ORFV platform technology.

2020

German Accelerator Life Sciences

Prime Vector Technologies was selected to join the German Accelerator Life Sciences program, providing valuable support for international business development and the commercialization of its technology.

2nd place Science4Life Venture Cup

Recognized in Germany’s leading business plan competition for Life Sciences, Chemistry and Energy.

GMP Manufacturing Partnership with Oxford Biomedica

Together with the University Clinic of Tuebingen and Oxford Biomedica we joined forces to bring our second generation COVID-19 vaccine closer to the clinics. Funded by the BMWi and developed in close alignment with the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut, OXB will now develop and manufacture the vaccine candidate in preparation for clinical trials according to a process initially developed in collaboration with the TH Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences.

Carl Zeiss Foundation Funding

Happy to announce that the Carl Zeiss Foundation committed to support our COVID-19 vaccine development with 150.000 €.

EXIST Funding Extension

The EXIST program reacts to current corona crisis granting the project "Impfkraft" at the University of Tübingen with additional funds from the BMWi. We gratefully acknowledge this commitment to develop a polyvalent vaccine against COVID-19.
